Vendors can access the Vendor menu items above for additional information and to reserve booth space. We realize the greater the number of coral sellers who choose to sell their corals at our Coral Farmers MarketSM events, the greater will be the number of aquarists who choose to attend our events. That is why we have made the booth price very inexpensive when compared to large conference booth space. Our booth prices are comparable to those charged by other medium scale coral exchange events that have been run in various locations throughout the United States the past couple of years. Hopefully, participation in our spring SE-CFM event will develop into a great way for national and regional coral sellers to end the spring coral selling season and prepare for the slower summer period.

Vendors selling corals and retail products to the public during the 2014 South Eastern Coral Farmers Market must collect a Georgia State Sales Tax at 6.0 %. Of that sales tax 4 % is for the state of Georgia and 2 % is for Gwinnett County. Forms and additional info can be found at Georgia State Sales and Use Tax. According to the Georgia web site you do not need a temporary sales and use tax account number to sell items at a temporary event such as this event. You do however have to do the following to pay the Georgia Sales Tax collected. File Form FS-32, Miscellaneous Events. You may also report the sale on Form ST-3, Sales and Use Tax Report, and check the "One-Time Only Sale" box. This box is located on the upper right-hand side of the form. You can find those Georgia state forms at the following link - Sales and Use Tax Forms. And this event is not located within the Duluth city limits, so there are no permits, account numbers or licenses required by out of state vendors. You will have to collect the Georgia state sales tax of 6% and use the above forms to make the one time payment. Could not find info on whether the vendors can just pay the tax out of their gross sales instead of calculating the tax and adding it to the total.

Coral Farmers MarketSM events were initially founded around the ideal of promoting coral farming and we will always welcome coral farming vendors who setup displays to sell captive raised coral. Presently, just about everyone maintaining corals in captivity has achieved at least some form of coral farming success. For the purposes of this specific Coral Farmers MarketSM coral show, we are opening up the event to all coral sellers within the captive reef industry and hobby. Hopefully this will help to provide for a broader foundation of support, since starting new business ventures have been more difficult ever since the 2008 economic slowdown. That is why the CFM is not sanctioning this particular event. The CFM is just a cohost.
