Sanctioned Event !
Thanks to everyone who braved the elements to attend the sixth annual Southwestern Coral Farmers MarketSM coral show. The event occurred on a cold and rainy day as winter made a return to Southern California. We lost count during the middle of the show, but it appears the total attendance including vendors was close to 400. The captive coral market within California appears to still be a buyers market. Next year we will try to increase the attendance of out-of-state buyers, since the local market situation appears to have created some incredible opportunities with our typically fantastic coral selection. Vendors did okay and many were just happy to be involved as numerous coral trades were carried out between growers. Operationally the event was just about completely flawless. We were able to setup most of the equipment the night before. The SW-CFM will always permit out-of-town vendor setup the night before if the hotels schedule of events permits access. The SW-CFM company really appreciates the help and support we get from the local Inland Empire Marine Aquarium Society hobbyist club. Thanks to everyone who helped to make this event a good success during a still recovering economic period.
