2006 Bay Area Coral Farmers Market Event

The Bay Area Coral Farmers Market (BA-CFM) event was initially developed at the start of 2006. The same business partners that own and operate the Coral Farmers Market and the SouthWestern Coral Farmers Market, (Art Petit and Steve Tyree), both own and operate this BA-CFM event. The Bay Area Coral Farmers Market is a separate and distinct company. Both Art and Steve decided to organize and promote a Coral Farmers Market event within the San Francisco Bay area because of the strong involvement that vendors and attendees from this area demonstrated during the February 2006 inaugral SouthWestern Coral Farmers Market event held within southern California.

The Bay Area Coral Farmers Market event is all about bringing coral farmers and coral aquarists together to conduct free market exchanges. Once inside the event, the buying public is free to conduct business directly with participating coral farmers. The main revenue sources for BA-CFM include the leasing of booth space to retailers, the selling of event tickets to the public, the selling of event raffle tickets during the event and the charging of event auction fees during the event. We believe that this Bay Area Coral Farmers Market event will eventually become one of the largest coral farming events within the Bay Area. The BA-CFM company also supports local reefing communities and online internet communities. We have invited some local Reef Clubs to participate at informational tables.
